The city of Izhevsk is the capital of the Udmurtia Republic of Russia. The city, with a population of about 630 thousand people, is located on the Ij River. Izhevsk city, which is especially developed in vehicle and weapons industry, is located between Vyatki and Kama rivers. The main water source of the city is artificial Izhevsk Lake. One of these is the Udmurtia Mosque. Izhevsk, the most important science and cultural center of Udmurtia, hosts many universities, theaters, museums, cultural centers, palaces, parks and libraries. As for the transportation possibilities of the city, there are 12 trams, 11 trolley buses and 43 buses. There are also 30 companies that offer taxi services.
