About El Minya

Minya, which is located in the west of the Nile River, the most vital source of Egypt, is one of the oldest settlements of the world. The city, which is the administrative center of the region also called Minya, is known as the place where the Judas Bible is located. The Bible is estimated to have been written between the years 230-240 and what Jesus experienced is told from Judas's point of view. Located in the middle of Cairo and Luxor, Minya acts as a bridge between the upper and lower Egypt.

The temperature in the city, which has been on important trade routes throughout its history, is at high levels throughout the year and does not show great changes. Agriculture is an important source of income in the city that was built on the fertile lands of the Nile River.
