About Cody

Cody, which is located in the Park region of Wyoming state of the United States, is named after William Frederick Cody who pioneered the city's establishment. The city, which has a population of approximately 9500 people according to the 2010 data, is the center of the Park County. Air transportation is provided with Yellowstone Regional Airport. In the city, which is located 1500 meters above sea level, the Shoshone River flows and forms a deep valley. There are four bridges on the river.

There is Rattlesnake Mountain on the north side of the city and Cedar Mountain on the south side. In Cody, where the semi-arid climate is effective, the humidity is 30% and below. While the temperature values reach 30 degrees in the summer months, it can drop to -8 degrees in the winter. Buffalo Bill Historical Center, which is the historical center in the city, has a large and modern facility. The facility hosts five museums as the Draper Natural History Museum, Plains Indian Museum, Cody Firearms Museum, Whitney Western Art Museum and Buffalo Bill Museum. This facility is one of the most visited places of the city. Rodeo occupies an important place in the culture of Cody. The city, which is known as the "Rodeo Capital of the World", hosts Cody Stampede Rodeo, the association of professional Rodeo cowboys.
