The city’s first airport, Don Mueang International Airport, is a regional commuter flight hub and low-cost airline hub.

Suvarnabhumi International Airport handles the largest amount of international passengers entering the city, handling over 53 million passengers in 2012. Bangkok is a city with a population of 8 million. Like other South Asian countries, transportation within the city can be chaotic. However, transportation to and from the airport is extremely advanced and comfortable.

Rail

You can take buses 201 and 503 from the Royal Palace, National Museum, and Phara Nakhon, the historic city center, to Phaya Thai Station. From this station you can get to the airport in 17 minutes.

You can also get on the express line at Makkasan Station. Other lines take about 30 minutes to get to the airport.

Airport Services

There are vehicles that depart from Victory Monument, which is one of the busiest transportation hubs in the city, to the airport every 20 minutes. You can get to the airport using luxury minibuses or buses where you need to connect or transfer in between. Minibuses 550 and 551 will take you directly to the airport. The city of Bangkok experiences extremely hot temperatures and these vehicles were designed taking that fact into consideration. These vehicles are all air-conditioned, providing comfortable transportation for tourists.

From the historic city center (Phara Nakhon) take the Nakhon Sawan or Lan Luang bridges and connect to the Sirat Expressway, which has a toll. From here you need to take Motorway 7, which connects directly to the airport. After reaching the airport you can park your vehicle in one of the three parking lots, which have a total car park capacity of 5 thousand vehicles.

Transportation to Siauliai City Center from Airport

Because Šiauliai Airport is located only 7 kilometers away from the city center of Šiauliai, it is possible for you to arrive in the city in maximum 10-15 minutes. In order to go to the city, you can take the minibuses departing  in front of the arrival terminal of Šiauliai Airport or use the taxis.

Minibus

Minibuses are preferred more than the buses inside the city and for going to the city center from the airport, because Šiauliai is not such a large city. There are many minibus lines providing transportation to every corner of the city. The P1 minibus line is operated only between Šiauliai Airport and the city center, and the most central spots of the city are on its route: Maršruto gatvės: Radviliškio g., Aerouosto g., Lakūnų g. P1 airport minibuses take you to the city center of Šiauliai within 15-20 minutes.

Taxi

The most convenient way of reaching the city center from Šiauliai Airport is doubtlessly to take the taxis. You can go to the city center of Šiauliai in 5-10 minutes with the airport taxis, whose price tariffs are quite reasonable. The only thing to do is walk towards the taxi stations which you will encounter as soon as you come out of the terminal. Another alternative is to call a taxi to Šiauliai Airport by contacting one of the private taxi companies which render transportation service inside the city. SMS Taxi, eTaxi Šiauliai, Euro Taxi and Šiauliai Taxi are among these companies.

Car Rental

Because there aren’t any branches of car rental companies at Šiauliai Airport, you firstly have to go to the city center and rent your car there. For this, you can go to the taxi stations which you can see easily when you come out of the terminal. You can also call the company from which you are going to rent a car and learn whether you can pick up your car from Šiauliai Airport beforehand. We recommend you to use the road of Dubijos in order to reach the city center from Šiauliai Airport in the shortest time.
